Philippe Tremblay these guys are nailing the blues rock! still can't believe the live recording sounds so great! Favorite track: Truth When You Lie.
Michael Reilly
Michael Reilly thumbnail
Michael Reilly A rhythmically purposeful rock album, showcasing a wide variety of influences and styles. Some touches of metal and prog rock in the vocal delivery and production, together with a strong southern rock guitar sound that adds significant character to this live recording. Favorite track: Tennessee Approximately.
Morts
Morts thumbnail
Morts This is a live studio recording, but the playing is very tight and clearly a lot of practise has led up to these recordings. An awesome mix of southern hard rock, groove rock with occasional forays into blues territory! Raw and rockin' with a vocalist who sounds more than just a little like Chris Cornell (a good thing)! The one song I'm not so keen on is the reggae-tinged Sister Sadness, but otherwise it's top notch! Favorite track: Baroness.

Baroness 05:08
The way she walks With the silver spoon has cut em' down and she''ll to the same to you The way she talks of the Hampton moon and the country club cocaine her daddy bought, she blew She's a Baroness too rich to test her false address endless mascarades too young to tame, this hidden dame She'll buy stiff drinks and she'll take yours too you tip your hat, but she'll never bow to you The trust fund grade high fashion she wore was a purse on a shoulder with her skirt still on the floor, such a whore She's a Baroness too rich to test her false address endless mascarades too young to tame, this hidden dame But soon you'll see, there's so much more to things find love in life and happiness that brings you're so much more without the hand that feeds wants wage war but peace is taking only what you need She's a Baroness too rich to test her false address endless mascarades too young to tame, this hidden dame

Your silent lies and quiet deceptions are all, all that your giving me your words defy, a content reception of things, things that you've done to me But I have learned before what's less is more and I will define, defiant designs You know you tell the truth when you lie Your thin disguise cannot hold the tension and you'll bend, bend until you break And I forgot, forgot to mention I create, every mode you break But I have learned before what's less is more and I will define, defiant designs You know you tell the truth when you lie Lies…………. But I have learned before what's less is more and I will define, defiant designs You know you tell the truth when you lie

False Remedy 05:05
Where did you go was it out of town with your slave made pumps, and your gypsy gown Miles away and many leagues down from the depths you go when I was around And in other words you were in between the common lines, and synthetic dreams tend to yourself and claim to be queen Your thoughts are unpure your motives naive You know its a false remedy time to dispose of all word of mouth and revive some sense of higher ground there you should stand on your promenade and wave goodbye to false tirades And above all else you were in between the common lines, and synthetic dreams tend to yourself and claim to be queen Your thoughts are unpure your motive's naive You know its a false remedy

Well I'm heading to Tennessee where the roses grow like trees The smell of this engine lord is ever sweet to me Nothing beats this country nothing feels like home never said I was a rambling man never said I was alone And I'm driving, down to the city lawd down them ol' dirt roads I made up my mind cus it's time, to find a new home there past the trees with the breeze that I'd once know Said it's Tenn, Tennessee Tennessee Approximately Southern women square dance while the men just slowly glance I don't know whether to cry or beg for one last chance but it's the lay of the land a new immortal man sees the distant skyline where the easy livin' began And I'm driving, down to the city lawd down them ol' dirt roads I made up my mind cus it's time, to find a new home there past the trees with the breeze that I'd once know Said it's Tenn, Tennessee Tennessee Approximately

Boot's scootin' all across the room, I see you heading' my way lookin' cute in your crimson suit Let's make it a day Let's go love, I've heard all that I want to hear cus it's six minutes to midnight and my place ain't far from here. about

Captain Ivory's "Live From Groovebox Studios, Detroit" is the result of an incredibly successful 15 day Kickstarter campaign that resulted in the band raising over $3,000. Because of the band's amazing friends and family, they were able to fund not only a live album and video, but also the purchase of a trailer to haul all of their gear to shows. The sounds you hear on this album are a direct result of hundreds of hours of practice by the band, and the generous financial contributions of their fans. The train has left the station, and it's full steam ahead...
